Curcumin is one of the most safe and effective natural anti-inflammatory  with a lot of notoriety, from the Turmeric plant. Of all the different curcuminoids in the Turmeric plant, Curcumin is the most effective. Curcumin touts many additional benefits including but not limited to anti-cancer/potentiating chemotherapy and heart disease (being currently investigated for both of these showing some promising results). 

 

Curcumin is a natural inhibitor of an the enzyme COX which is mediated pain and inflammation. We use purified curcumin for more robust effects that aim to provide the end user with the most clinical relevant and potent aspect of the plant. 

 

Boswellia serrata , otherwise known as Frankincense has been traditionally by many cultures around the world for different reasons. Useful to Pain 45+ are effects are predominant in the joints/ for osteoarthiritus, with little cox inhibition (but seems to act on Lypooxigenase (LOX Inhibition)). Four clinical meta-analysis have concluded positive effects on arthritic pain to date.

We use a high concentration of Boswellic Acids (65%) which includes the  AKBBA (Acetyl-11-keto-beta-boswellic acid) variant, which is amongst the Boswellic Acids. This is the most effective in reducing inflammation and pain.

Devils Claw is widely used in Germany, France and throughout other areas of Europe. It is very effective for osteoarthritic pain, and back pain (anti-inflammatory) by acting on COX enzymes by Harpogoside compounds in Devils Claw. This is slowest acting anti-inflammatory of all the ingredients (works best with consistent administration (vs. Perluxan which works quick)

Lastly, Gingerol is the active compound in ginger, related to Capsaicin and Piperine (black pepper alkaloid that is beneficial for increased bioavailability). Gingerol is used for its anti-inflammatory effect as it affects inflammatory messenger proteins (eg. cytokines) and inflammatory enzymes such as COX. It is also a powerful antioxidant.

 

Recommended dose: Adults take 2 capsules one time daily and continue for best results. After a period of time when satisfied with results, the dosage can be decreased to one capsule for maintenance.
